The Concourse on the Cape
Calling it “the swim center” is not doing this facility justice. This new development “The Concourse” is not only designed to be a world class swim facility, but also includes a hotel and conference center, swim school, and Swimming Hall of Fame. Also included in the first phase of this development are 20 tennis courts, tennis hall of fame, and a commercial center. Phases 2 and 3 add additional commercial space, restaurants, and an educational business park. Currently, the vacant land provides no revenue for the City, while still being part of the City’s debt service. You can help by signing the petition in support of this project and by getting as many signatures as you can. Let’s encourage our city to move forward with this project. Download Keep it in the Cape petition and instructions.

Attention CCCIA Members - Smalltooth Sawfish
The federal government (namely the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Marine Fisheries Service) recently drafted a rule that would designate habitats where the smalltooth sawfish can be found. This fish was placed on the endangered species list, and in a subsequent law suit settlement, they agreed to do this. In this rule, all of the Cape Coral canals south of Pine Island Road have been identified as habitat for this fish. Click here to view letter | Click here to review ruling [ members only ]
ICANstruction needs your leftover building materials! New and used home improvement materials are accepted. Contractors can donate unused materials to a non-profit association creating a win-win-win situation. Less waste for our landfills and reducing debris costs, all the while benefiting the community. Building materials are sold to the public at a discount and ICAN raises much needed funds for the the Island Coast AIDS Network. To make a construction material contribution please call (239) 997-4226. All donations are tax deductible. Visit www.icanswfl.org to learn more.
