October "Meet the Candidates" Dinner Meeting

October's Dinner Meeting was "Meet the Candidates".
All eight candidates were in attendance on Thursday and all were asked "If elected what will you do to get cell phones back in the hands of the inspectors?"
Current Council members Brandt (Dist 2) & Diehle (Dist 3) agreed with the City Managers' decision and would continue this policy.
Current Council member Derrick Donnell (Dist 7) would like to work with the Industry to come up with a solution.
Rana Erbrick (Dist 5) does not want any other portion of the budget to suffer in order to replace cell phones that are all ready gone.
Candidates Carioscia (Dist 2), Nesta (Dist 3), Morris (Dist 5) and Stokes (Dist 7) vowed to work to get the cell phones back in the hands of inspectors.
Finally, there was an informal Straw Poll at the meeting on Thursday and the results are posted below;
58 ballots counted - 1 not counted (hanging chad syndrome)
District 2: Pete Brandt 11 / John Carioscia 41
District 3: William Deile 10 / Lenny Nesta 41
District 5: Rana Erbrick 22 / Scott Morris 32
District 7: Derrick Donnell 31 / Dave Stokes 25
